To all my faithful followers - I love you guys so much! Yeah it's been a while since i've posted but I finally found my blogging camera and that means I can start posting more haha. Okay so..let's talk about beauty. No, not the Disney Princess - despite the fact that I used her picture for this post - I want to talk about the actual quality. What is beauty? If you asked someone else, what would they say beauty is? There are two types of ways to see it - inner or outer beauty. Let's start with outer beauty.

Outer beauty. What do most people think about when you ask them what makes a girl or guy beautiful/ handsome? For a guy, well he has to have nice hair, nice facial features, dress nicely, look fit and have a slick charm. When asked about good looking male celebrities, many girls used Chaning Tatum, Zac Efron and Nick Jonas as examples. What about girls? Oh boy. I'm not trying to make it seem like a big struggle but girls don't have it that easy. With everything circulating the internet about a girl's ideal body and face, many girls face the burden of "perfecting" themselves. One of the most iconic examples of today's "perfect" women are Kim Kardashian, Beyonce , Jennifer Lopez and now Kylie Jenner. Many praise their looks and wish they could also look like them.I'm going to point fingers to a lot of modern- day rappers and guys... they like to reinforce that thought. They praise women who have big curves, and an artificial face. No, not all guys are like that, I'm acknowledging that too, shoutout to you guys that aren't like that :).
But these are facts of today's world. Girls now tend to cover their face with makeup , contouring and attempting to make their face look different. They even go to the extent of getting surgery done. Before I go further, I would like to also say that yes, some girls do these things to feel good about themselves and not for others. I'm not shaming those people. I'm reaching out to the people who do these things to impress people around them. Okay, so once these girls transform themselves all of a sudden all these guys are on them and they gain their self- esteem from that. Girls, you don't have to stoop down to that level. You don't have to wait for a guy to call you beautiful or hot to feel good about yourself. You can't always wait around to get compliments. You need to tell yourself that YOU are beautiful and that NO ONE can tell you otherwise. This is where I come in with the inner beauty stuff. Beauty comes from the inside. I'm sure we've all heard that before. But have you actually listened and understood those words?
To have inner beauty is to be kind, happy and caring, just to name some characteristics. Helping out your best friend when she's feeling down, doing good for the community, helping around the house, or giving back to others. That's inner beauty. Being able to bring joy into someone else's life, and putting theirs above yours. That is the kind of thing no one thinks about when the word "beauty" is spoken. Insulting people, gossiping about them, bullying others... that is pure ugliness. Only thinking about yourself can hurt people around you, and most people don't realize this. They think that looking great will get them places. It could get you fame and wealth, but it won't get you love or true happiness. I can't tell you how many people I've seen like that around me. They could be the most perfect looking person ever, but once I try speaking to them, I feel like i'm talking to a shell. There's nothing inside of them, no kindness, nothing. Outer beauty can only cover so much. So guys, I want you to take a moment and think about everything I just said. I want you guys to put down that magazine cover of Kylie and tell yourselves that you are beautiful in every way. Don't wait for anyone to tell you that. Be your own fan. ~ Sin

<![CDATA[Workout Playlist]]>Sat, 30 May 2015 00:04:10 GMThttp://queenofthemoon.weebly.com/home/workout-playlistPicture
Sometimes it's really hard to be motivated when going to the gym. We all get that. We find ourselves bored of doing workouts every day on a daily basis. Cardio becomes difficult and boring. Don't let yourself become that person. In order to help you with that, we decided to whip up a new workout playlist that is sure to pump you up for that dreadful gym session..

<![CDATA[Bullying]]>Sat, 09 May 2015 21:56:29 GMThttp://queenofthemoon.weebly.com/home/bullyingHey guys! I finally found time to blog about something haha. I took time from studying for exams and stuff to address an important issue that was brought up this week. Bullying. So everyone knows what bullying is. Everyone also believes that it doesn't exist just because people aren't stealing your lunch money or hurting you in a physical way. The most common form of bullying we see now is done verbally. Cyber bullying exists too.. and it's a bit worse. Imagine seeing a post about someone calling you "Weird" or "ugly". Seeing them in writing causes a lot of damage to people. Nowadays people believe that they could go and say whatever they want about someone. They will try to defend themselves and say that the person is too sensitive or immature. In reality, that is a bunch of crap. Maybe it's nothing if someone says something ugly to you once but if they keep doing it everyday for years, there's a problem. Why do people do it? Because they have nothing better to do. These people have no respect for anyone and become snobbish. They believe that if you're not like that, you're weird or awkward. These people are afraid of others who are different from them. If you don't stoop down to their level of immaturity, you're considered an outsider immediately. Sometimes these people are also jealous of your own success. They see how intelligent and great you are at something and still try an degrade you. They try and make you feel weak and depressed to feel better about themselves. If you let these things get to you then you're looking at it wrong. It does hurt a lot and as a human being you are obliged to feel threatened and hurt. But the second that you let others see that is the second that you have lost your battle. It's better that you ignore them or stand up for yourself. I'm not saying you should fight someone but speak up and defend yourself. Take control and shut those people up. You'll realize how scared of YOU they really are. That is when they will feel more victimized then you did. If it doesn't escalate to that then just ignore those people. As a matter of fact, take their insults and stupidity as a compliment. They're giving you a lot of attention. Be strong and never forget who you really are. Remember that most of the bullies don't end up being successful in life. In the future, you won't even be around these people anymore. You'll be living your life and be doing what you want. You'll be looking back one day at these times and say " I made the right choice. I'm happy I didn't let these people affect me. I stopped paying attention to them and started focusing on being happy." So yeah, stay strong guys and live life to the fullest. We're all beautiful in our own way and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. - Sin

<![CDATA[Animal Testing]]>Sun, 22 Mar 2015 15:22:21 GMThttp://queenofthemoon.weebly.com/home/animal-testing Okay so I failed to go through with my plan of posting frequently. I apologize to all my readers and now that I have a lot of things to share with you guys, I WILL be posting more frequently. Now, let me bring your attention to something serious. Let's talk about animal testing. It's a cruel thing to do on poor innocent animals. I personally have 3 rabbits. I wouldn't want to see them mutated and hurt. People test chemicals on dogs, cats, rabbits, mice, monkeys, etc. I'm sure that if you're a pet owner, you would not like the idea of seeing your pet go through agonizing pain.
I came across this topic about a month ago and it hit me hard. I was scrolling through Twitter and I saw pictures of dogs, cats and rabbits with burns, mutated eyes, and all of these unusual things. I was completely disgusted and at that moment I decided to boycott companies that still test on animals. Major brands like Maybelline, CoverGirl, Lipton. Michael Kors, TRESemme, and many other still conduct these unfortunate tests. Now, we all have these products in our home. At least now you know that if you are interested in boycotting these brands, you won't buy them in the future. It's up to you if you want to or not. There are many other products that could do the same job. I'll put up a link to a list of brands that still test on animals and a list that has brands that don't. Now that I know about this, I will be checking the labels on products to see that "cruelty-free" sign. Imagine if they started testing on humans! Everyone would be against it. Animals should not be treated differently.

Tell me what you think about this. Is it right or is it wrong? Are you going to boycott those brands that endorse animal testing? - Sin

<![CDATA[Simple Saturday..]]>Sun, 01 Mar 2015 01:25:24 GMThttp://queenofthemoon.weebly.com/home/simple-saturdayHey guys! It's been a long time since I've posted, i know. I've been so busy lately but i never stopped thinking about you guys :). What did I do on Valentines Day? Nothing haha. I just stayed home and ate all the chocolate I received the day before. I celebrated Valentines Day on the 13th, since that's when I have to give my friends their gifts since I don't see them until a week after.
After school I went to Dunkin Donuts with Jenn and a certain someone named Wilfred (; *wink wink*.... it was a cold walk but definitely worth it! After, Jenn and I were enjoying our time at my house being reckless and crazy. It was a great way to spend my day. During the one week off I was loaded with homework which I saved for the last two days. I tried taking that week to relax and to talk to Wilfred :). The Saturday before break I started attending tumbling classes and almost ending up dying. It was kind of funny to watch me but I accomplished three back handsprings by myself (Horray!)Okay, so I'm going to fast forward to last Wednesday, which is when we had our Legal Eagles meet. It was my turn to go up as a witness and you cannot imagine the nervousness I felt when being called up to the stand. Thank God that I did not mess up though. The meet didn't come out exactly how we expected it to but we tried our best and did all we could. All we can do is forget about it and to keep focusing on the prize. The rest of the week consisted of reading and working out. I slacked a lot these past two weeks and I know I need to get back on track. I've gone on Pinterest and filled my boards with motivational quotes and pictures. My new strategy is to take it day by day and to make up a food tracking and motivational journal to look at. This journal helps out a lot, even when you're feeling down. Now, I'm here sipping some tea and making this post while studying (Not really studying) for my future career. Maybe i'll make a post about it in the future :). And to my lovely readers, I promise to do my best to keep posting about other things but just be patient with me :). If you guys have any questions or suggestions, just comment or message me on Twitter or Fb. Enjoy your weekend! - Sin

<![CDATA[Cardio Workouts]]>Tue, 10 Feb 2015 22:32:14 GMThttp://queenofthemoon.weebly.com/home/cardio-workouts
Hey guys! No, I did not forget about posting! Today I decided to post about fitness. I have heard many people complain about doing cardio. All I constantly hear are complaints about having to run. Most believe that running is one of the only ways to burn calories, including the elliptical, stair master and the bicycle. Truth is you don't have to go on a machine to get some cardio in! Here i'll suggest some alternatives to help burn calories without using a machine!
 1. Take a walk or jog outside! (Unless it's cold...) - I know, I’m being Captain Obvious right now but allow me to say that you do not need to run to burn calories.Go out and enjoy nature when you can. Yes, if you run, you can burn calories faster, but if you have time just take a 40 minute walk or jog. It could take you approximately 14 minutes to burn 200 calories while running. If you walk for approximately 35 minutes, you could still burn the same amount.

 2. Ride a bike when you can - Take a friend with you and go to your local 7- Eleven and buy a bottle of water or some protein shake haha. Don't buy try a buy sweet or nachos... that whole bike ride will go to waste! If you live by stores, take the bike! You actually get to burn some calories and earn up some gas money that you could spend on other things.. like new workout clothes? *wink wink*

 3. Jog and drop - It was the middle of winter. I had no idea on how to do some cardio without using the treadmill or some other machine. I went around and tried asking my friends if they had any ideas and one of them did! Here's what my friend told me to do : Jog in place for 10-20 minutes. Every ten seconds or so, drop on to the floor and get back up immediately. It's kind of like a burpee, and if you're not familiar with what a burpee is, it consists of jumping, dropping to a plank, and jumping back up. The only difference that this workout has is that jogging is incorporated into it.

 4. Jumping Jacks - Everyone has done this at least once in their life! Jumping Jacks do not burn as much but they are still a method of burning calories. Aim to do at least a 100 each day.

 5. Blogilates Cardio Vids! - I cannot stress how amazing Cassey's videos are! Just go on YouTube and search up "Blogilates Cardio" and voila! She specializes in at-home cardio workouts. It takes some stamina and endurance to do them but that's why we have to keep working hard and improving everyday.

There is no excuse to not do cardio. There is always a way to burn off calories, even without a treadmill. Believe in yourself and stay strong. It might take a long time to see results but trust me, you'll see them eventually. Do you guys have any suggestions? Let me know! - Sin

Legal Eagles Team 2014-2015
Happy Wednesday! Today was truly a great day. Why? Well, our High School Mock Trial Team won against Comsewogue! Today we took our yearbook picture (We look so professional, I know). You might be asking yourself, what is a Mock Trial? Well, it's just an imitation trial. We take a case and act it out for a season. We compete against other teams as either the defense or the plaintiff side of the case. Points are rewarded mostly on performance. Yes, winning or losing the case is a big factor but not as much as the performance itself. It is a bit like putting on a play. The lawyers and witnesses have to put on a show for the judge, but in a cordial manner. One must have respect for everyone in the court, including the judge. It might sound boring but in reality, it's really interesting and fun. We have the best lawyers and witnesses, including our very own Katelyn Vasquez (Top right at the end) and Jennifer Galdames (Bottom middle). I'm 3rd to the right by the way. Since I have a defense witness role, I had to go up today and boy... It was amazing! I was a little nervous, like everyone else, but in the end we still came through and did what we had to do. Katelyn was directing me and she dominated the podium haha. From the opening to the closing statements, the trial was impressive. We learned a lot from the other team's witnesses also! Both teams were great today. Our Captain is Nelson Montoya (2nd top right) and the Co-Captain is Angelica Roman (Top Left). We're all exhausted from this meet. Next week our meet is home... It will be something interesting to watch (;. - Sin
<![CDATA[To all the boys i've loved before...By Jenny Han]]>Wed, 04 Feb 2015 01:06:32 GMThttp://queenofthemoon.weebly.com/home/to-all-the-boys-ive-loved-beforeby-jenny-han
Hey guys! So recently I saw that Lauren Conrad had started her book club again! It's been a long time since the last book they read, which was The Fault In Our Stars by John Green (Such a cute book! And the movie was just incredible). Now, her book club us reading this book called To All The Boys I've Loved by Jenny Han (Pictured Above). I decided to join her book club out of curiosity and once I started reading this book, I could not stop! It's about a girl named Laura Jean and she wrote these love letters to all the boys she loved. Once she finishes writing them, she puts them in an envelope and puts them away. One day, all her letters are mailed to her past crushes! That's pretty much all I will say for now haha. I'm about halfway done with the book (I started yesterday) and I cannot stop reading it. This book will most likely grab a girl's attention but if you like reading about a girl's life then this book is for you. Lauren will have a live chat later this month with the author. You can find out more at Lauren's website, which is listed below . Happy Tuesday! -Sin
<![CDATA[EYE MAKEUP PRODUCTS THAT WON’T PUT A HOLE IN YOUR WALLET!]]>Fri, 30 Jan 2015 18:30:22 GMThttp://queenofthemoon.weebly.com/home/eye-makeup-products-that-wont-put-a-hole-in-your-wallet
Hey guys! So I thought that today I should post about makeup, since many of you say that you struggle to find good eye makeup products. I remember that I used to struggle a lot with that too. Every time I went to the store I would go and buy a new mascara or a new concealer, etc. I definitely spent a lot of money on things that did not work for me. To save you guys some money,I came up with a small list of the 5 best eye makeup products/tools out there currently and the best part is that they're not that expensive- except for the M.A.C. mascara...but hey it works so why not?
 1. E.l.f. small angled brush - It does its job! Usually gel eyeliner creams come with their own brush like the one in No.3 but sometimes those brushes get damaged and messy too quick! I went to my local Walmart and saw this for $3. $3?!? Say no more. I bought it to try it out and boy... It's perfect! This brush can be used with gel eyeliner creams and also for many other things! I'll tell you guys about that later but for now trust me... this is a good brush to buy.

 2. E.l.f. Cover Everything Concealer - For the past year, I have used this concealer.. I haven't found anything like it yet. If you get the right shade, this concealer will do what it's supposed to do. It's only $2 and you could find it at most stores like Target and Walmart. I'll warn you though, if you have sensitive skin, be careful of how much concealer you use.

 3. Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner - If you're interested in using gel eyeliner, I strongly recommend this one! The colors are beautiful and It doesn't chip or come off like other liners do. I used to use liquid eyeliner but i noticed that it looked too shiny so I switched to this eyeliner instead. The brush that comes with it is good too- but once you get used to it, I suggest that you should buy the E.l.f. brush. This eyeliner is $10 at Ulta but you could find it cheaper in Target or Walmart.

 4. Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer- This is something I bought a month ago since I couldn't find the E.l.f. concealer and it works pretty well. You brush on the concealer with this product and I haven't found any flaw in it so far. It's $8 at Ulta.

 5. M.A.C. Zoom Fast Black Lash - I have been using this mascara since 4 years ago (Yeah it's been a while). Honestly, I've alternated between this mascara and many others I bought, just to see the difference. Overall, this one makes your lashes look long and nice. It helps your eye pop out. M.A.C. is always a trustworthy brand so this should be obvious haha. At the M.A.C. store, this mascara costs $17. Not too bad. It's worth the buck!
This is how the Maybelline Gel Eyeliner, Concealer, and that M.A.C. mascara look. If I could finds some more light so guys could see it more clearly I would have :(. Maybe next time :) ! - Sin
<![CDATA[blizzard in new york!]]>Tue, 27 Jan 2015 20:47:49 GMThttp://queenofthemoon.weebly.com/home/blizzard-in-new-yorkPicture
Many of you may have heard about the blizzard that went by the Northeastern part of the United States. New York was hit hard, but i'll be honest... I saw pictures of Boston right now and well... I'm praying for them. Since this snow has many people locked in, why not enjoy a cup of hot chocolate?

PictureThe Snow By My Place
I personally have to catch up on some schoolwork (I'm a huge procrastinator). Today I took advantage and did some homework and cooked some food. I learned a good meatball recipe today (Yummm!) Besides that, I could catch up on episodes of Dexter. I have been hooked on that show since I started watching it a few days ago. I've been taking advantage of my break and exercising. When you have AP classes, Chemistry, Trig, and you're on a Mock Trial and Bowling team, it's hard to find some time to exercise!

Today I figured I would get warm and wear a fuzzy jacket with joggers. I'm wearing my favorite Yankee scarf (Go Yankees!.... Jacoby Ellsbury is mine!). I put on a knit headband which you can't see in the picture and felt pretty lazy to put makeup on since i'm not going anywhere haha. I find the snow very lovely...when it's not messing up the roads. It's fun to just go outside and have a snowball fight with your neighbor (age doesn't matter obviously..unless you're trying to play with a guy that's 60..don't do that....that's not good...don't yolo...be safe...Lol). - Sin
