Hey guys! I finally found time to blog about something haha. I took time from studying for exams and stuff to address an important issue that was brought up this week. Bullying. So everyone knows what bullying is. Everyone also believes that it doesn't exist just because people aren't stealing your lunch money or hurting you in a physical way. The most common form of bullying we see now is done verbally. Cyber bullying exists too.. and it's a bit worse. Imagine seeing a post about someone calling you "Weird" or "ugly". Seeing them in writing causes a lot of damage to people. Nowadays people believe that they could go and say whatever they want about someone. They will try to defend themselves and say that the person is too sensitive or immature. In reality, that is a bunch of crap. Maybe it's nothing if someone says something ugly to you once but if they keep doing it everyday for years, there's a problem. Why do people do it? Because they have nothing better to do. These people have no respect for anyone and become snobbish. They believe that if you're not like that, you're weird or awkward. These people are afraid of others who are different from them. If you don't stoop down to their level of immaturity, you're considered an outsider immediately. Sometimes these people are also jealous of your own success. They see how intelligent and great you are at something and still try an degrade you. They try and make you feel weak and depressed to feel better about themselves. If you let these things get to you then you're looking at it wrong. It does hurt a lot and as a human being you are obliged to feel threatened and hurt. But the second that you let others see that is the second that you have lost your battle. It's better that you ignore them or stand up for yourself. I'm not saying you should fight someone but speak up and defend yourself. Take control and shut those people up. You'll realize how scared of YOU they really are. That is when they will feel more victimized then you did. If it doesn't escalate to that then just ignore those people. As a matter of fact, take their insults and stupidity as a compliment. They're giving you a lot of attention. Be strong and never forget who you really are. Remember that most of the bullies don't end up being successful in life. In the future, you won't even be around these people anymore. You'll be living your life and be doing what you want. You'll be looking back one day at these times and say " I made the right choice. I'm happy I didn't let these people affect me. I stopped paying attention to them and started focusing on being happy." So yeah, stay strong guys and live life to the fullest.
